• As your student works their way through the application process, check in on the status of their “list.”  Make sure that they have at least a couple of schools on that list where admission is highly likely AND the cost is affordable. 

  • Remember that merit aid and need-based aid are the biggest game-changers. 

  • Hitting submit on applications isn’t the end of the journey.  Sometime in the spring, families of seniors will be looking over options and making one of the most significant financial decisions of their lives - hopefully together. 

  • Our hope in bringing this dialogue to families is that by starting the discussions earlier and having practical and real expectations, they will be in a better position to make this decision in a healthy way.
