THE ONE THING
ONCE THEY’RE ACCEPTED, HAVE YOUR STUDENT LOOK FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENT DAY EVENTS. Schools will host these special programs to give families a closer look at life on campus. It’s a time to meet faculty and staff, connect with current students, and identify specific resources on campus where your student will find connection, community, and support.
PRO TIP
Encourage your student to reach out to current college students who are NOT part of the formal admitted student day program and ASK THEM if they can meet up. Think friends, alumni from their high school, or student leaders. This UNCENSORED visit will give them a more authentic look at what student life is really like.
