The article collected dozens of stories concerning a lack of ideal accommodations for college students afflicted with mental illnesses. Student Health & its Impact on College Graduation

 Parents worry about their students in many ways.  We are worried about having the money to support their student, we worry about the risks that may interefere with the investment they make in college, we worry about the academic progress their student makes towards graduation and probably most frequnetly we worry about the health and well being of their college student.   What may surprize some families is how interconnected the health of their student is to their progress towards graduation.

My Kid Graduated College – Who Pays for Health Insurance Now?

Do we ever stop paying for our kids, even after they reach adulthood? Many parents ask themselves this question, and now health insurance gets added to that list.Healthcare reform now lets post-college adults use their parents' health insurance, as long as the parents are willing to pay. The dependent age has been raised to 26 to cover the large number of uninsured young adults, many of whom are unemployed due to a slowly recovering economy.

The Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act (“PPACA”), passed March 23, 2010, includes multiple new laws affecting the provision of services at campus health centers. While not fully effective until January 1, 2014, some parts of the law became effective September 23, 2010.
