College Parents of America, Comic #3

  When should a family start planning and saving for higher education? Generally, families should start as early as possible, but some families need a bit of help. And, although parents often do a lot of the planning and saving, it might be beneficial to get the kids in on the act. 

Academic Probation – A student can receive this if they fail to keep up with their school’s academic minimums. Those who are unable to improve their grades after receiving this warning can possibly face dismissal.Beer Pong / Beirut – A drinking game with numerous cups of beer arranged in a particular pattern on each side of a table. The goal is to get a ping pong ball into one of the opponent’s cups by throwing the ball or hitting it with a paddle. If the ball lands in a cup, the opponent is required to drink the beer.

How does college work? Or put another way, how do colleges work and how can you and your student learn to adjust to their practices and achieve success?Ultimately, of course, it is up to your student to find his/her way in the world. And his/her first step to a new world usually starts with college.
