If you haven’t completed the FAFSA or need assistance in completing it, please visit the revised College Goal Sunday website?

The College Goal Sunday program was established in 1989 and has evolved from a one-time event offered in the state of Indiana to a national effort including 40 state programs and the District of Columbia. We have over 10,000 volunteers dedicated to assisting students and families in accessing financial aid for college. Supporters have included the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association, the Lilly Endowment, Lumina Foundation and USA Funds.

In June 2015, the National College Access Network (NCAN) assumed full responsibility for College Goal Sunday.  NCAN’s goal is to help more students navigate the path to and through college and  plans to build on the nearly three decades of success of College Goal Sunday to enhance FAFSA completion support to students.  The National College Access Network NCAN has a network of nearly 400 college access and success professionals and organizations.

Campus Safety & Crime Reports that Defy Reality

Despite the requirement to disclose accurate crime statistics and potential fines of $35,000 per report violation, it appears that 30 years after the death of Jeanne Clery colleges and universities continue to struggle to comply with providing accurate crime reports. In fact, this past November the American Association of University Women (AAUW) published an alarming report that concludes that ninety-one percent of the nation’s colleges have told the federal government there were no rapes reported on their campuses in 2014. In contrast to other reports that indicate sexual assault rates of women may reach as high as 21%, AAUW correctly concludes that this analysis of campus reported data “defies reality.”

About Eating DisordersAccording to a 2004 online study conducted by Screening for Mental Health, Inc. 59.34% of students screened tested positive for symptoms of an eating disorder. Of those who scored positive, 96% were not in treatment for an eating disorder at the time of the screening.
