It’s the holiday season, students are back in town from college, family is getting together to celebrate, and we are looking for fun things to do together. We’ve pulled together a list of 5 Christmas themed crafts & snacks for you to make this Christmas!

Snow Covered Mason Jar Candle Holders

Snow Covered Mason Jar

Difficulty Level: Easy
Supplies:
– Mason Jars
– Epsom Salt
– Twine
– Picks
– ModPodge Glue
– ModPodge Acrylic Spray (optional)
– Tea Light Candle
– Sponge Brush
– Large Bowl


Instructions: Fill the large bowl with Epsom salt. Using the sponge brush, paint the mod podge glue around the jar evenly. Place the jar in the bowl and sprinkle the Epsom salt all over the wet glue. Let it dry, then spray the acrylic spray around the jar to set (optional, but it will help the snow to stay). Decorate with twine, picks, ribbon and whatever else you want. Use a small tealight in the jar to light it up and watch it glow.


Rudolph Brownies

Rudolph Brownies

Difficulty Level: Easy
Supplies:
– 1 Box brownie mix
– Ingredients needed to make brownie mix as specified on the box
– Pretzels
– Holiday mint m&m’s  (they come green, white and red)
– About ½ cup of melted chocolate

Instructions: Prepare brownies as directed and let cool. Cut brownies into rectangles and either use frosting or melted chocolate to stick on the face (see image). Put the pretzels on top for antlers, 2 white m&m’s for eyes, using a toothpick to dab on melted chocolate spots on the eyes, and a red one for the nose. That’s all!


Fishbowl Snowman Decoration

Difficulty Level: Easy
Supplies:
– 3 Fishbowls (1.5 gal, 1 gal, 16 oz.)
– Hot Glue Gun & Glue
– Fake Snow
– Snow Village Accessories
– Small Tophat


Instructions: 
Put a little bit of fake snow at the bottom of each bowl. Arrange your village or other decorations to make a special Christmas scene (flameless tealights can really boost a scene). Stack the bowls from largest on the bottom to smallest on top. Put the top hat on top of the top bowl. You can use any variety of decorations that you would like in this snowman.


Melting Snowman Cupcakes

Melting Snowman Cupcakes

Difficulty Level: Easy
Supplies:
– Marshmallows
– Black Icing Pen
– Orange Icing Pen
– M&Ms
– Pretzel Sticks
– White Icing
– Box of cupcake mix
 – Ingredients required in cupcake mix


Instructions: Make the cupcakes per the instructions on the box. Top with white frosting. Decorate the marshmallow faces with the black and orange icing pens. Place the marshmallow on top of the cupcake, toward the top edge with the face looking down. Use 2 pretzel stick halves for arms and m&m’s for buttons. All done!



Scented Mason Jar Candles

Scented Mason Jar Candles

Difficulty Level: Medium
Supplies:
– Mason Jars with Lids
– 1/8 Nipples
– 1/8 couplings
– 3/8 washers
– Lamp wicks (100% Cotton)
– Olive Oil (or canola, lamp oil, citronella oil, etc. any burnable oil will work)
– Pine Cones, Cranberries, Citrus, Cinnamon Sticks, Vanilla Beans, Coffee Beans( this is up to you depending on your fragrance preferences)
– Scissors
– Cordless Drill
– Block of Scrap Wood


Instructions: 
Drill hole in the center of the mason jar lid. Assembled the wick holder in this order from the top: coupler, washer, lid, washer, nut, nipple, wick. You can tie a knot at the end of the wick the goes into the jar to make sure it can’t be pulled out. Fill the jars with all your scent options about 5/6 of the way to the top. Fill the rest of the jar with oil. Place the lid onto the jar and allow the oil to soak into the wick before lighting.
